Parent Education | Caring for the Caregiver: Understanding Perinatal Mental Health
This session offers an introduction to perinatal mental health, helping caregivers better understand the emotional experiences that can arise during pregnancy and early parenthood. We will explore the difference between what is common and what may require additional support, review potential warning signs, and create space to discuss experiences such as intrusive or “scary” thoughts. Practical coping strategies, including stress reduction and ways to support nervous system regulation, will be shared with the goal of helping caregivers feel more informed, grounded, and supported.
Greene Towne parent and guest speaker Talia Golden, MSW, LCSW brings a thoughtful and holistic approach to her work, combining her background in psychology and social work with certifications in yoga and mindfulness practices.
